Wildcats Celebrity Game

A Chance to Play

Adaptive Sports Ohio hosted the 11th annual Celebrity Sled Hockey Game on February 28, 2025, at Alice Noble Ice Arena. The event raised funds for the Wooster Wildcats sled hockey team and helped raise awareness for adaptive sports. Spectators enjoyed a high-energy game between the Wildcats and local celebrities, which included a 1-1 tie in the first period—a first in event history—and a celebrity shootout won by the blue team.

A special guest appearance was made by Steve Serio, five-time Paralympian and three-time gold medalist in wheelchair basketball, who spent time in Wooster learning more about Adaptive Sports Ohio’s programs.

Adaptive Sports Ohio is the largest organization of its kind in the state, offering competitive sled hockey opportunities for youth and adults with physical disabilities. Teams include the Cleveland Monsters, Wooster Wildcats, Youngstown Boom, and Toledo Walleye. Through programs like sled hockey, Adaptive Sports Ohio removes barriers so athletes with disabilities can compete, grow, and thrive.
