Junior Cavs Win NWBA National Invitational Tournament

Ranked as the No. 2 seed, the Junior Cavaliers defeated the No. 15 seed Fresno Wheelers in the first round and the No. 10 seed Mad City Badgers in the quarterfinals on Friday, March 20. Saturday, the Junior Cavaliers defeated the No. 3 seed Jr. Road Warriors in the semifinal to advance to the Championship Game on Sunday morning against the No. 4 seed SAAS Jr. Wildcats. The Cavaliers claimed their first national title defeating the Wildcats by a score of 43-38.

TaShaun Myers earned the Championship Game MVP with a double-double, 16 points and 16 rebounds. Zayne Hammoudeh added 15 points and 12 rebounds to help the team secure the title. Holden Schwamberger added 8 points and 3 rebounds. Elena Knowles had 4 points and 8 rebounds, and was named to the NIT Female All-Tournament Team.

Tallmadge Wins 2026 OIAS State Championship

Tallmadge is your 2026 OIAS Wheelchair Basketball Champion, beating Green 35-16! Congratulations to the Blue Devils on their third consecutive championship and an undefeated season!

2026 OIAS Award Winners Announced

Adaptive Sports Ohio is proud to announce the OIAS award winners for the 2026 wheelchair basketball season.

Walleye Go 2-1 in Cincinnati

The Walleye were in Cincinnati Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15. The team went 2-1 over the weekend beating Nashville and Grand Rapids both by the score of 1-0. Robert, Alissa and Joseph each took home player of the game honors. Mateo scored the go-ahead goal in each win. 

Force Win Two at Turnstone

The Force were in Fort Wayne at Turnstone for a tournament Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8. It was another great trip for the team. They went 2-2, beating Chicago House AC 2-1 on Saturday and then beating them again 2-1 on Sunday!

Celebrity Sled Hockey

Junior Wildcats Finish Second at Silver Stick

The Junior Wildcats were in Grand Rapids for the Silver Stick Tournament Friday, March 20 through Sunday, March 22. The team finished second, going 2-2 over the weekend. Jordan, Rennick, Isaiah and Karina all won Player of Game honors.

Face the Force

Adaptive Sports Ohio hosted Face the Force the weekend of Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29. The Force won the tournament championship, finishing 3-0-1! The team had wins over the Mary Free Bed Overdrive (5-1), Tidewater Piranhas (4-1), and the Hot Shots (4-1) plus a draw in a defensive battle against the DASA Cyclones (0-0). Zander was selected as part of the All-Tournament Team.

Force Charity Game

The Force will host a power soccer charity game on Saturday, April 25 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Medina High School. The event will consist of two games, the first will start at 4:15 p.m. Fans in attendance will have the opportunities to support power soccer.

Walleye vs. Toledo Rockets Charity Scrimmage

The Walleye and University of Toledo Hockey Team will meet up for a charity scrimmage on Saturday, April 25 at 10:00 a.m. at the Team Toledo Ice House in Toledo, OH. Fans can gain admission by donation.

Reserve Your Spot at Dream Camp 2026

Join us at Dream Camp Friday, July 24 through Sunday, July 26 for a weekend of adaptive sports and recreation! During this overnight camp, attendees will participate in wheelchair basketball, wheelchair softball, kayaking, swimming, track, and more!
