Join us for the 2024 Interscholastic Wheelchair Basketball Championship. This competition highlights the season as the top two wheelchair basketball teams fight for the 2024 State Title. You won’t want to miss the action, come support the competitors!

Where: University of Akron – JAR Arena

Admission: $15.00 per ticket (ages 5 and under free), Tickets can be purchased for the game prior to arrival or onsite. Current OIAS wheelchair basketball players and coaches also free. To purchase tickets, https://bitly.ws/3f468. Tickets may be purchased onsite with cash or card.

Spectator Information

• Venue: University of Akron’s James A. Rhodes Arena, 373 Carroll Street, Akron, Ohio 44325
• Entrance: All spectators must enter the venue from the front entrance of the James A. Rhodes Arena.
• Parking: Parking is free. Spectators must park in Lot 2 for accessible parking (handicap placard or plate required) or Lot 1 for general parking (map provided below).
• Bag Check: When spectators enter, there will be a bag check prior to ticketing.
• Pictures and Video: Personal photography and videography is all that is permitted (no large cameras will be allowed in the venue; no photography may be done from the benches except by an OIAS arranged photographer.) Photos and videos taken must be for PERSONAL USE only. There will be a photo area in the lobby for personal championship photos. Pictures will be available online for purchase on Monday, March 11th. • No Court Access: Spectators are to remain in the stands or lobby following the conclusion of the game and awards. Spectators will not be allowed on the court at any time.
• Signs, Banners and Noisemakers: Signs, banners and noisemakers are not permitted. Schools are reminded to emphasize these at school pep rallies or assemblies, not during the game. They will be confiscated if found and the user may be removed from the venue.
• Credentials: Only players and staff with credentials are allowed in the team areas.
• Seating: All spectators will sit in the upper level. Accessible seating is available on the upper level. All seating is first come, first served. There is not designated team fan/spectator seating in the arena. OIAS Teams and Coaches will be permitted to sit on the lower level, but must submit a team/guest list in advance (Page 5).
